This policy explains what information Webrender collects, how we use it, and your choices. It covers both the Webrender Clipper browser extension and the Webrender web application (together, "Webrender", "we", "us").
Webrender is operated by Nextwaveweb Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17193025), registered office 14 Great Western Street, Frome, England, BA11 1FZ. Nextwaveweb Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have any questions, contact us at contact@nextwaveweb.co.uk.
a) Content you give us. The web page (or the region of it) you choose to clip, and any document you choose to import. This content is sent to our servers to be rendered into a PDF, and — if you are signed in — stored in your library. Per our non-destructive design, we also retain the originally captured source of your saved documents.
b) Account information. If you register, we store your email address and the identifier from the sign-in provider you use (e.g. Google or Microsoft sign-in). We use this to identify your account and secure your library.
c) Annotations and library data. Highlights, notes, titles, and organisation (collections) you create on your documents.
d) Payment information. If you purchase a paid plan or credit, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details; we store a record that a payment occurred and your plan/credit status.
e) Diagnostic logs. We keep limited technical logs to operate and debug the service (see §6). These do not include the content of the pages you clip.
f) Website usage analytics. On our website (not in the extension) we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they use, and which sites they arrived from. It is off until you agree to it, and even once you do we run it in a deliberately restricted configuration:

We remember your choice in a small cookie of our own (wr_analytics_consent) so we do not ask again — that one exists solely to record the answer./document/:id) before anything is sent, and everything after the ? is dropped apart from campaign tags such as utm_source. Page titles are replaced for the same reason: what you chose to read is yours, not something we pass on.We do not collect: your browsing history, your precise location, or the contents of pages you did not choose to clip.
We do not sell or rent your data, use it for advertising, or use it to assess creditworthiness.
Your clipped content is stored on our own infrastructure. We rely on the following service providers to run Webrender:

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms, and are bound by contract to process it only on our instructions.
International transfers. Some of these providers (including OpenAI and Google) are based outside the UK and the European Economic Area, so using the affected features involves transferring the relevant data internationally. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards — the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, as incorporated into our providers' data-processing terms — together with any additional measures those terms require.
The Webrender Clipper extension is designed to touch as little as possible:
activeTab + scripting permissions). It does not run in the background or read pages you haven't chosen to clip.Diagnostic logging. To diagnose intermittent sign-in issues, some requests record a small technical breadcrumb — a timestamp, the request path, whether a session cookie was present, and your account id if signed in (blank for guests). These breadcrumbs do not contain page content, your IP address, or your browser's user-agent.

Your rights. Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU data-protection law), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact contact@nextwaveweb.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on stored content. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
Webrender is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, contact contact@nextwaveweb.co.uk and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
